New Toys & Vacation Chores

Now that Kent is up and running with his new MacBook Pro, I've (almost) completed the move from my ancient PC to the hand-me-down PowerBook Kent previously used. Though the transition has been mostly smooth, it has not been without it hiccups (who knew that Sony's CLIE PDAs were so incompatible with Mac, even though other Palm devices work fine).

At the same time, the 3guys are planning a couple trips and, boy is that a lot of work. It's amazing how difficult the airlines make it to do anything more complicated than just book a basic steerage-class ticket. What? You want to use some of those miles you've accumulated? Ha! Clearly the airlines have made a focused effort to make redeeming miles as difficult as possible.

In between travel plans and computer migration, we've been working on some house projects. Not really dramatic ones like in the bedroom. No, more like finishing up some old projects, but it all takes time, you know.

Not to be left out, the pups need their daily walk. On their Sunday walk, Ulla got to pose with an ad for her namesake bus line (at a bus stop, isn't that novel). Though she does like her car rides, Ulla says she's far to fabulous to take the bus. Or at least that's what I think she said.
